Fremantle defender Alex Silvagni is in line for a shock AFL recall as a forward as the Dockers attempt to patch up their injury-hit attack.

With skipper Matthew Pavlich, Kepler Bradley and Aaron Sandilands all sidelined, and Zac Clarke needing a run in the WAFL after a recent calf injury, Fremantle are light on for tall options in attack.

One-game defender Tanner Smith is a strong chance to be thrust up forward in Saturday night's clash with Gold Coast at Metricon Stadium, while Silvagni is also in the mix after overcoming a recent ankle injury.

I like this move always thought Silvagni would turn good for us

Smith played a fair bit as a forward before he was drafted.  Silvagni or Smith will get a look in if Clarke isnt deemed fit enough to play.

Ricochet

Silvagni has only played the three games this year. Hope Smith gets another crack
