Is Michael Barlow top 10 mids material. Will be trading out Kane Mitchell and have 432k in bank. Was going to trade him to Crouch and save cash and make more cash off Crouch for later on since one of my lleagues is worth 1,000 for the winner. But am ranked 267 overall so tempted to go the Barlow way to try and stay in touch with the leaders. Thoughts?

Dayze

He won't b a top ten mid but he is value and he is a handy pick. Where would he b sitting M6?
If I were that close to the top ( which I'm definedly not) I would probably go with this pick. Maximum points on ground for Ur dollar. Should average 105-110. Third or fourth in line for the tag... Good Luck bud must b stressful up the top

cortez

Cheers, current mids are Pendles, Cotchin, Hannebery, Murphy, Mundy Moloney, Wines, O'meara, Viney & Mitchell.

Considering maybe even going to hodge and saving 100k?

Dayze

Really don't know about hodge. I understand why there is a bit of hype around him coz of his quality but he has missed so much football I really worry about his body. Barlow to me seems much safer but the extra 100k would b nice.

S_Coach99

I dont trust hodge, he'll probably be out with an injuring in a few weeks.

He's a bit of Daniel Kerr lately, Great player, too many injuries of late.

Could be worth it to attempt to gain an edge and points on those above you. Like Dayze i dont think Barlow will be top 10 but will have atleast a 105+ avg. Hodges body is a worry so i lean towards Barlow just for the added security. I know the urge would be strong to do a trade this week but would doing the Crouch trade and holding off a week give you the oppotunity to go to a certain keeper with a higher avg in rnd 5 be the better option in the long run. The reason i say this is your midfield currently only has 2 possibly 3 keepers at this stage.

Have you considered Fyfe because I would take him over anyone at that price,

cortez

Yea I reckon the Crouch selection would be the better option in the end its who is on top after round 23 not round 4. And yea did consider Fyfe.

enzedder

I think he could be. I have been thinking about spending my $ on him this week too. He was my most liked possibility but after putting up a poll I have swayed to the general FF public's thinking and am leaning to Swallow who I can afford as well.
Barlow at this stage would make a brilliant M6 if you can afford him...will average 105-maybe115 I think.

Goodluck with whatever you decide mate, i certainly understand the the temptation but think in the long run you'll be better with a certain mid keeper. Your going well, all the best for the remainder of the year. ;)
