Help Needed!

Hi,  Last year was my first year of Supercoach and I sucked.  I'd love some thoughts on this side:

Backs:  Goodard, Shaw, C. Cornes, Adcock, Malceski, Reines, Grimes, (Hill, Rance)

Mids:  Bartel, Judd, Gibbs, Haselby, T.Tuck, Rich (Robinson, Beams)

Rucks:  Cox, McIntosh (J.White, Currie)

Forwards:  Harvey, Pavlich, Deledio, s. Johnston, Higgins, Skipworth, Ziebel (Yarran, M Browne) 

Have 45,700 left.

IMO

Hervey is worth alot and will get the #1 tag every week. You could downgrade him and then upgrade McIntosh...
Put it this way....Judd is cheaper but just about everyone would pick him over Hervey

Also Heath Shaw is very inconsistant....big one week and then garbage the next...A risk in my book...Could play Hill as your other defender and then cut loose with the extra cash...If you had your heart set on Hervey, now you can afford him and a better ruck than McIntosh

IMO McIntosh is very good value, he's cheap and I reckon he could have a great year.

bjrouse is probably right about Shaw, so maybe spend the $45,000 on him

Not a bad side. I think Shaw will have a good year to make up for last.

If you think McItosh will have a big year leave him in but do something about Skipworth.

Good to get a few different opinions.  I don't have my heart set on Harvey, but his durability and the fact he never seems to get injured has some appeal I feel over players like J. Browne etc.  Shaw is a bit of a risk I guess - great player but he didn't like those tags last year.

Everyone seems to be including Hill as a starting back.  Is he guarenteed to play round 1?  What I'd read indicated it might be a few rounds in before he's picked.  Can anyone shed some light on where he's at?
