would anyone please be able to tell me why this game is not on channel 7??

i'm looking through my foxtel guide and i don't see it on? i want to watch it out in the shed with mates where we don't have foxtel.

is my foxtel guide wrong or..? what's the deal?

It will be on 7 Mate over in WA, but Victoria will only have it on Foxtel unfortunately. Not sure where you live brad.

it's just dumb on the AFL's behalf, and i don't get it at all? what do they gain by this? what do channel 7 gain by this? they could either show a movie that people can just download, or they can show the footy which will bring in cash. this is just so dumb i think my head is going to explode cartoon style

Yes unfortunately we still only get the 4 games per round on TV. So this round in Melbourne we get

Friday - Adelaide v Essendon
Thursday - Carlton v Richmond
Saturday 20th - St Kilda v Gold Coast
Easter Monday - Hawthorn v Geelong

Bit of a joke that we get the St Kilda Gold Coast game when they are plenty of better ones to watch instead, but oh well.

as a Saints fan i am happy they are showing it, but as an AFL fan i completely agree. i'd rather watch the derby this week, and just watch the Saints on foxtel next week

That can't be true surely? Fox have the rights is why they show all the games? ???

I have foxtel as well, but will miss the Footy they show on free-to-air. Foxtel shows all the games live with 7 getting only like half a round.

As an AFL fan, agree with you guys that 7 certainly didn't get the best of matches to show according to interest but better than nothing I suppose. Much prefer the Footy to Movies as they show movies all year round anyway.
