Just had a play around with my original squad which was pretty similar to Team 3 but with JP Kennedy, Heppell and Crouch in the Mids instead of Swallow, Wines and Vlastuin (who was in Def).

I was concentrating on fixing the Ruck area (Mumford at best price here) and looking for an option for Crouch due to his non selection. I have underlined the main player moves. Here are the results…what do you think?

Team 1:
Def: Goddard, Gibbs, Heppell, Goodes, Brown, Stevenson (Terlich, Docherty)
Mid: Ablett, Pendlebury, Murphy, Cotchin, Fyfe, Wines, Kommer, O’Meara (Viney, Crouch)
Ruck: Roughead, Mumford (Rowe, Daw)
For: Franklin, Cox, Rockliff, Martin, Kennedy, Macaffer (Lee, Neade)

Team 2:
Def: Goddard, Gibbs, Heppell, Goodes, Vlastuin, Stevenson (Terlich, Docherty)

Team 1 - but i'd prefer Deledio...over Cotchin :)

I also agree Team 1 is the better option as Vlastuin is likely to get the green vest.

Team 1 looks the pick to me but my two concerns are:

Mumford - Can't afford Kreuzer and even if I could I have some doubts over him. What are peoples thoughts on Mumford? Haven't heard his name mentioned much this pre-season. Is he underdone?

and

Heppell - I can't squeeze Duffield into that position due to funds unless I cut Wines down to a cheaper rookie. Wines looks a lock to me. Would have liked Duffield just to balance things out a little in the backline already having Goddard. Is there another option to Heppell?

Yeah it's a bit risky with mumford, very injury prone, bellchambers could be a good option though
And there's no need to worry about heppell, he's going to get alot more midfeild time this year and should be a lock. But if you are looking for another option, greg broughton could be a good unique
