Good selections but having a 4/6 mid combo will see you fall behind early, although I don't want to suggest where to find cash bas I like it all! Varcoe would be the player to downgrade, maybe Grimes, and get another prem mid even a Mundy or Fyfe

Jimbo_11

yeh i dont mind dropping the 50-60ppg in my mids early on because ill make a little bit of that up in my 4 premo backs and fwds and my thinking is that the rookie mids will gain cash the fastest and then will allow me to make my upgrades ahead of some other people

tbagrocks

Indeed mate! Just get those 6 rook mids right from day one, which is hard with a two week split round! But I like your bravery!

Jimbo_11

yeh thats the tricky bit haha

LachnLoad

I agree with downgrading Varcoe, you could get Macaffer and save a good 100k. Other than that I think it is pretty solid. I agree the 4-6 mids are risky but might pay off. Im more of a 5-5 kinda guy.

Jimbo_11

already have macaffer mate , but i get what you are saying
just not really sure where i would use that extra 100k because the best i could get is whitfield; and thats not really going anywhere from my current team

Updated Team Lads
this time have about 34k in the bank
stacked my fwd line, and banking on leuy to play rnd 1

I haven't seen Rowe on your bench, If i were you I would lock him in over Blicavs.
And you have quite a few rookies: 5 mids and 5 defenders, better hope they all play. Almost better off downgrading a mid to pick up a mid priced defender.  :o 8) ??? :P ??? ::) :P :P ;D :D
you are a muppet!!
there are 10 midfield spots, you are on par if not one less that most other people with 5 rooks.
There are also better DEF and MID rooks than in the forward line so he is doing the right thing by sacrificing defensive spots to strengthen the forward lines depth

and cut the crap with the emotorcons!

Tyes

Like the latest team you put up mate, nice structure and good picks :). It doesn't really need any changes, but if it was me i'd downgrade Spanhger to Neade and pocked the 25ishK. Reason behind this is I do not see Span-man playing senior footy for Hawthorn, and even if he does you will be holding you breath every week if you need him as cover as he would only be one bad game or heavy loss away from being dropped. I am under the impression Neade has better js, I see both scoring around the same (50avg)
I would also upgrade Cotch to Boyd, simply because I never pick a player off one breakout year. Boyd is tested, and even if he spuds it up and Cotch kills it early you can swap them around before the price rise.

Like I said though, its a very solid team mate, all changes I made are just because of personal preference :)

yeh spangher was a bit of a pick in loo of other good fwd options, i agree neade or lee would probs be better options, cheers for the feedback
