Ive got whitfield atm in my team but i just cant work out if his price is worth it. What do u guys think and what is a good replacement for him? (my other rookies are wines, o'meara, kane mitchell and brad crouch)

Mr.Craig

The only non mature age rookie I could see out-averaging Whitfield is Wines so yeah, he could well be worth it. Obviously you have to keep in mind the GWS rotation policy and the fact they have plenty of mids floating around. If you can use the 70-80k you'd be saving by getting someone cheaper to good effect then maybe that's a better way to go. But if not I say give him a shot.

Should it not work out you can always downgrade to any other mid rookie anyway so there's not a lot of risk in having a punt on him.

Who knows really.  I think Koby Stevens and even Kane Lucas going under the radar a bit.

Stevens hurt his rib on saturday and went in for scans on it today haven't heard the results.

Scans have cleared Western Bulldogs midfielder Koby Stevens of any serious injury following Saturday's practice match against Richmond. Get the full update on Stevens' situation plus the latest injury new from the Club in the 'Medical Room' powered by Club Warehouse.

I think Whitfield will be one the better scoring mid rooks, but as Mr Craig said, if that 80k can be used to get you similar points it makes it a 50/50 punt. Out of the rooks, he's more than likely gonna rise slower than the rest, unless he smashes it

AFL prospectus rates him highly.  Fitting him in team structure is hard but his pre season has been strong.  Shaping up to be a good unique or POD.

he's averaging like 104 points per 100 minutes atm... personally, I see him in our best 22 as well.
