2012: Summary

Another injury plagued year for Hibberd has left him on the outer of most team selections for 2013.  He averaged 96 for the first 4 games of the season before his hammy went twang.  Following a round 13 return he lasted another 3 games before another hamstring injury left him out until round 20.  The injuries severely affected his scoring ability with little stability throughout the entire season and no foundation to build on.

2013: What to expect

Prediction:
With the pre-season coming to an end, Hibberd has made a very strong case for selection.  DT scores of 70 and 96 in the two full games are promising in combination with his Birchall-like half-back role.  Last year he did tend to get an assignment but it surprisingly didn't hinder his scoring ability.  It could just be the year which he lives up to his potential if he can cement his role in the team and stay injury free.  If so, look for him to be a top 8 backman.
