Alan Didak's recovery from a hamstring injury is progressing nicely according to Collingwood's Director of Football Geoff Walsh.

The 30-year-old, who has battled a variety of injuries during the past two years, did not appear in any of Collingwood's four NAB Cup games but is now in a position where a return to the game is not far away.

"Alan is getting towards the sharp end of his recovery," Walsh told collingwoodfc.com.au.

"He is stepping up his training and has had no setbacks. He's on target for a return in three weeks' time."

Didak is one of four key senior players who are still making their way back from injury.

Defender Ben Reid, who injured his knee during last week's NAB Cup win over West Coast, is rated a 1-2 week proposition while Luke Ball (knee) and Dale Thomas (ankle) are both anticipated to return in 3-4 weeks time.

Official List
Ben Reid (Knee) = 1-2 weeks
Alan Didak (Hamstring) = 2-3 weeks
Luke Ball (Knee) = 3 weeks
Dale Thomas (Ankle) = 3-4 weeks
Tim Broomhead (Glandular Fever) = 4 weeks
Michael Hartley (Shoulder) = 4-6 weeks
Corey Gault   (Groin) = 6 weeks
Lachlan Keeffe (Knee) = 6-8 weeks
Brodie Grundy (Back) = 8 weeks

That list a little long for me. Thankfully no bad ones though

I thought Grundy's was only a 2-3 week injury. Has really blown out now

Looking at that then, any chance of Benny Kennedy playing round one? Would probably be sub!

Think seedsman would be in front of him at the moment, probably Russel and maccaffer too, but depending on whether ball/thomas play rnd 1 could get a go.
