Still feel free to post in my thread.   I did a diary from start of season last year but decided this year to start early and watch team evolve. That is the purpose of FF everyone giving opinions sifting through the comments and then going with gut feel to make the changes,
only real concern I have with Zorks he has only played 16 games and so this will be virtually his first full season so you may have to watch for slow down.

Suckling a risk?? Not really no. And You are right.. he is not really unique either.
I hate how Birchall and Suckling alternated big games through last year. It is more an annoyance to someone who follows it live then an actual fault with the selection. Real die hards may say he is overrated.

Someone mentioned Chappy instead of Bartel? Umm no.
I'd rather 22 games of Bartel than 17 of Chappy and his extremely high susceptibility to hamstring injuries. Again not worth the headache.

I am also of the opinion.. if you can get a guy like Bartel in your forwards? Then take him. Mids are more consistent than forwards. Period. It would then mean no Varcoe.. But you would have Byrnes Knights and Patton to choose from.

Thanks lockaload think we must think alike cause I pretty much agree with all your points that u made

RE: Suckling, could Brian Lake be a viable option instead for around the same price? Haven't really seen how he slots in with the Hawks but if he can get back to form he's a gun... Seriously considering him...

Brian lake is probably in the mix with suckling and Newman to make my final cut I have had lake over the last couple of years but like u said have to wait and see what kind of Roll he will play with the hawks

Not sure your stats or feelings on Chappy are correct mate, hasnt played less than 20 games in the last 3 years and his hamstring woes havent really botherd him over that time since getting them sorted. He has had some other minor niggles but hasnt caused him to miss alot of footy. Training the house down in 2013.

I checked that when I posted. The Geelong guys have the rotation policy so he may have missed maybe 1 due to injury. Maybe none. But I swear there were weeks when people were saying he could miss out due to injury and ended up playing. This type of behavior is minimized this year due to the rolling lock outs.. but Id rather have Bartel.

Bartel is two years younger. Stats are around the same. Has played more games then Chappy in the last 5 years. I also just like the way he goes about it.

Look. Picking Chapman is not going to kill your SC season. Picking Bartel won't kill your season either. They are both reasonably safe picks with the expectation of an avg score above 90.

After the weekend games Bartel looks like the man in my opinion also liked the look of Hanbary from Sydney another team u seen earlier has him didn't like the choice but now might keep a eye on him after the weekend

His groin seems to be the new injury issue he's having, flared up last year also. May pay to look elsewhere for a safer option.
