I have been tinkering around with this for sometime now but think I am getting close to a final team for round 1. All pending the next few weeks of course.

So here it goes:

B- Goddard, Gibbs, P. Hanley, Broughton, B. Goodes, S. Docherty (Terlich, Colquhoun)

M- Ablett, Watson, Cotchin, Kennedy, Moloney, Wines, Thomas, O'Meara (Crouch, Viney)

R- Leuenberger, Goldstein (Currie, Gorringe)

F- Franklin, Cox, Pavlich, Rockliff, Danhier, Macaffer (Kerridge, T. Lee)

I still have a few ideas floating around but will wait to hear what feedback I get.

Good luck to you all

Very nice 1st up team Noddy.
No comment on the rookies until  rd 1 team selection although that's where I would make one tiny suggestion. Either Curry or Gorringe out and Sam Rowe in. Gives you the DPP protection with Cox should either Goldy or Leuey go down with injury. Perhaps keep an eye on Broughton during the NAB and see how GC are using him. Once again a very nice beginning.
9/10 Cheers and best of luck.

You have another team posted in the Supercoach section.  Which is the right one suggest you just keep adding teams here as thus is where the comments on teams take place,

Like the team mate. What I suggest tat makes a strong team is having unique players In certain areas that you believe will explode this year and you did that in hanly Moloney and Maccafer. Suggestions I think u should make is downgrade Franklin due to tough draw.beleive his price will drop and drop gc ruck and collect Sam Rowe as he will be good for dpp to rotate cox in and put of team. Overall nice solid and rate team 7.1/10 still some working progress. Can you rate my team

No worries mate.

Who's this J Thomas bloke? Will he play?

Noddy5

He does come highly rated, will have to see how he goes in the NAB cup. Will going to next weeks game to watch the might Lions take on the pies so will get a look then... Obviously come round 1 I will have crouch or viney in front of him

Josh Thomas is another player snuck into their list from Qld areas.  He is a 22 year old midfielder who has had a couple of injury plagued seasons. Will find it hard to break into pies midfield so obvious will not make final cut.

Comments on your latest team:

Def: Sound with no issues
Mids: Think at the price there will be better rookie options than Vlastin - Mid prems combo a little unique compared to others but will score as well. Have not seen may teams with Swan/Watson combo.
Rucks: Standard.
Fwds: Sound - Just watch Pav when he plays for fitness.  Watch to see if Daniher is named. If not consider Varcoe, Byrnes, JJ Kennedy, Pettard as possible low price options,
