Is this team too forward heavy?

Went with a deliberately weak backline due to rookie prospects, what do you think? No Ablett to start with. Any suggestions?

Yeah mate, Goodes as D4 is a massive risk - I wouldn't want to be banking on 3 rookie back scores each week... You'll be luckly to pick 3 who will actually play most games!

I would pick a forward to trade out - and use the cash to bring in a 450-500k defender who will be raking in 90+ points per game.

On the other hand, the way forward rookies are going, it might not be the worst strategy!
I'd still prefer Macaffer sitting at F6 than Goodes at D4 though.

I have gone with a very similar strategy weak backs/strong forwards... I like it but i think the back line can be strengthened by having someone like yarran as a d4, $362k and Im sure will benefit from malt house that's just a suggestion if ur worried about a weak back line

Freddy

thanks for the replies, yeah I did have Yarran/Hartlett in the backline earlier, will go ahead and downgrade either Cyril or Zorko and grab another backman. Maybe I got a little carried away with backline rookies, however I still think it could work out with Staker and/or Bock coming in around round 6 or 7. Saying that though it is a very agrressive and risky strategy and I will make the D4 upgrade. Thanks again

Nah bring back the 3 prem backs, I've done the same thing and although it may come across as risky the thing that keeps coming back to me is the fact that only 4 backs averaged over 100 last year!

My question is to people who say "bit weak down back" what is the difference is you have 3 and 3 down back it's not asif there's $400k sitting on the bench; surely that money is better spent upgrading to players who average 110-120.
