Very very very happy with this team atm, what do you think of it?

Backs: Goddard, Gibbs, Birchall, Yarran, Pittard, Goodes
(Stevenson, Terlich)

Mids: Swan, Pendlebury, Kennedy, J. Selwood, Cotchin, Wines, O'meara, Viney
(Crouch, K. Mitchell)

Rucks: Goldstein, Leuenberger
(Witts, Mcbean)

Forwards: Cox, Rockliff, Hawkins, Wright, Byrnes, Macaffer
(Meade, Lee)

$4,900 left

very nice team.
9.5/10

we have very similar teams.
instead of having the mid pricer in the back (yarran) i have mine in the mid (embley) as i think thats where most points will be at.
Both will avg around the same (85-90ish), you might even keep Yaz as D5/D6 but Embley will be upgraded to a premo.
instead of Hawkins i have Zorko and instead of selwood i have GAJ.

very solid team. Good luck.

btw nice choice on Wright i think he will kill it this year.

I think your comment warrants comment, Keeper27,

If you think Yarran and Embley will score the same and Yarran is more likely a keeper, then why have Embley as he will more likely cost you a trade, will keep a more likely cash cow mid out?

I'd start Yarran and take advantage of an extra mid rookie, save myself a trade and go from there.

Thoughts?

Yarran isnt a keeper either.
as i stated in another coaches RMSC, Yaz will avg 85-90. its decent for a DEF.
with only 6 spots to fill you want the absolute best to compete with the best coaches right.
will Yarran be in that top 6?? or top 10??

there will be 10+ DEF players who will outscore Yarran (95+)

most people will keep him to save a trade and he will stagnate around that 90 mark while others will bring in players who will outscore him.

i have no delusions that Embley will be anything but a cow. once he hits $450K + mark he's gone.

To answer Keeper
Here are the Top scoring defenders from last year and their averages:
Goddard, Brendon (ESS)    101.2
Shaw, Heath   (COL)   101.2
Waters, Beau   (WCE)   100.3
Scotland, Heath(CAR)   100.1
Gibbs, Bryce   (CAR)   95.3
Birchall, Grant   (HAW)   94.7
Enright, Corey   (GEE)   93.9
Duffield, Paul   (FRE)   92.8
Reilly, Brent   (ADE)   92.4
Hartlett, Hamish (PTA)   91.4
Hurn, Shannon   (WCE)    91.4
If Yarran can get 90+ then he is a definite keeper. Just watch Micks use of him in the NAB Cup.  With 30 trades this year he could be a last upgrade if not worthy of D6.

Regarding your team Cortez though enough said about Gazz and buddy but by having Swan think that off sets no Ablett a little - Would prefer to have him though. To look at getting Gazz in I would Drop Yarran to Docherty  and Upgrade Selwood to Ablett (Think Cotch will outscore Selwood)

Of that lot, Rrringo,

Scotland and Waters already missing some games, fitness and form.

Shaw is ...well, Shaw!  ::)

Goddard, Gibbs and Birchall look to be the pick of them I think with new club, new coach and new Lake respectively.

Enright aging - can he keep it up? Will he be rested / vested?

Duff Reilly Hartlett and a few others not on the list could come up.

Yarran is as much a chance as any of these lower premiums to stay in my team.
