Not sure Colquhoun will get game time, to be honest. I had him, but too many people told me there were better options.  I don't mind Hartlett as an option. I chose not to because he gets injured too much... but, at least this year, that doesn't matter quite as much as you can just trade him out easily.  For his price range, I chose Heppel though.

No idea why you have Menzel, but maybe you know more than I do? At least instant swap him for Wines? I would have thought?

Witts, Currie, Daw, Rowe seem the top three bench players for Ruckman, but a couple do have Grundy - I just don't know why.

Isn't Staker out for the first few weeks? Maybe even first 6?

I like the choice of Wright.... still trying to work out how to get him in my team - thinking my first upgrade target actually, (maybe Embley to Wright --- or Monfries to Fyfe)

I personally don't like Franklin, but I know many do. Also, for what it is worth, keep in mind http://www.afl.com.au/news/2013-02-18/stevie-j-offered-a-week

For the Fwd bench, I really am at a loss myself. Few people saying Neade... but, I can't see a 64 kilogrammer getting many DT points. I have Byrnes (expensive!)  and Macaffer (very happy with).... Thinking I could go Kerridge instead of Byrnes, but will see if Kerridge is named for Round 1 first. This takes on another level of importance with Stevie J potentially out for one week --- though, if he accepts the one match ban, considering getting Jimmy Bartel in for him - seems a little bit of a "waste of a trade", but, with two a week, and with setting up the "perfect team" going into Round 1, I'm sure I can afford that trade in Round 2 - especially with no risk of players moving in price.

As for the rate for rate... I am still open to feedback, esp. as to replacing Whitfield. The only trade I can come up with is -Whitfield + Kerridge... but would need to know Kerridge was playing ROund 1. http://www.fanfooty.com.au/forum/index.php/topic,72184.msg991865.html#msg991865

Er, also, keep in mind... I've never done this before so take it all with a grain of salt!

I think one of the keys this year will be picking the right back & forward rookies.
Pittard & Goodes looked impressive in NAB games in round 1, but Goodes is still on the rookie list, so needs to be elevated before he gets senior games.
Macaffer looks like the bargain pick of 2013, but as mentioned, Staker looks like he's missing the first few weeks of the season.
There's plenty of mid rookies who should all be able to generate cash, but I think it will be the forward & backs that will be the difference between a good & a great team.
Rest of the team looks fine, although the benches would be subject to being selected & pre-season form.
