Pre NAB Cup Teams, advice, thoughts and rates please :) I personally like team 2 but think it is a little risky??? (going for top 1000). may look weird with 2 mid pricers at d3 and d4 but i think yarran and atley can score 80ish which il be happy with at that price as defenders arent high scorers anyway, meaning i can upgrade to a very strong 5 prem mid. Happy as rucks are set and hoping to get a jump on those that dont go with 2 prems. Forward line a little weak but hoping sylvia has a big year around 90 and fingers crossed on martin :)

TEAM 1

R: Sandilands, Goldstein (Rowe, Currie)
F: Cox, Rockliff, Martin, Sylvia, Siposs, Macaffer (Staker, Lee)

TEAM 2

First of all mightytiges, where do you think Richmond will end up this year?

Your very humble stated aim of top 1000 suggests you are used to mediocrity. Wake up son. Aim higher. Maybe the universe will turn out differently if you get bold and expect better.

Having said that, I like your teams.

Def - you could really cut back further and go for another couple of rookies if you only demand 80's from your mid pricers. I would expect more and if not then get a rookie who should get 70 and save at the start and make more money later.

Mid rookies are $$$$ and better points so max is 4 guns to start and maybe a mid like Embley or Ball if you are keen.

Not enough salary cap to go 5 guns without compromising elsewhere.

Rucks are good but Leue might make a lot of money for you.

Upgrade forwards and get on Buddy if you can as you'll need him to score fast early.

Good luck and if you dare to believe, Richmond might even make finals!!

Good luck.

JMAN23

Team 1: 7/10
Team 2: 8.5/10 (just get staker out)

RedCats

I Prefer Def on team one, you seem relatively comfortable on your ruck choices but Leuenberger could well be a bit of Giles this year.

I would seriously consider downgrading Siposs in team one for possibly Stringer, change out Staker for another rookie and use the money saved from Siposs on upgrading Martin to Franklin.

Looks like a good start though
