Really solid looking team here DC. I was choosing between the two as well and eventually went with Duffield just because I feel freo are on the way up, and Broughton's leave opens the door to the Duff man to take his role. Mids are solid. Forwards solid again, personally I'm avoiding Martin this time around but he could prove me very wrong. Cam Pedersen is an interesting pick, and I do think his opportunities have opened up at the Dees, however I would consider trying to get another premium down back in his place. Perhaps downgrading a mid prem to Ball or Embley if you're willing to take the risk as I have chosen to do, and upgrading Pedersen to a Grimes, Birchall, Heppell or Broughton.

Rucks and forwards are solid. Personally I would pick Byrnes before Varcoe but obviously it's down to going with your gut feel. Also good rookie picks so far, can't fault you there. Rating: 8.5/10

If you have a second here's mine, be brutal: http://www.fanfooty.com.au/forum/index.php/topic,71741.0.html

Nice team.

If Duffield is getting Broughton's role then steer well clear.

Pederson a no for me.

Mids are supreme - don't you dare change them.

Rucks are seemingly the bog standard budget set. Good but not really good.

I don't like SJ or Martin this year so worry about both there.

Pretty good overall structure - 8.2/10

Cheers guys, i have done some moving around and have ended up with this...thoughts and advice on this team would be great, i find it has a better balance than the other team with 4 solid defenders, 5 prem mids and 4 solid forwards, please give a rate and il rate yours :)

D: Goddard, Gibbs, Duffield, Yarran, Pittard, Docherty (Van Unen, Terlich)

M: Ablett, Pendlebury, Kennedy, Cotchin, Shuey, Wines, Lonergan, Viney (O'Meara, Crouch)

R: Goldstein, Leuenberger (Currie, Rowe)

F: Cox, Bartel, Rockliff, Martin, Byrnes, Macaffer (Staker, Lee)

Pedersen > Yarran (Happy with that change)
Murphy > Shuey (Would have loved to keep murph but needed cash, hopefully shuey can increase his average)
Johnson > Bartel (Hoping for an average of around 95 and is extremely consistent despite getting older)
Varcoe > Byrnes (Not 100% on this one, thoughts?)

I like the changes you have made there. Yarran and Shuey should have good years and Byrnes is a better option than Varcoe I believe. I'm not really sure on Bartel this year as I think he is going backwards in his scoring. I would suggest Zorko instead who is only about 8k more expensive.

But overall it's really hard to fault this team, it has a great balance. 8.5/10

Give my team a rate too, will you champ?

I agree on Duffield could definitely get some of broughtons holding roles. Your mids are very similar to mine with all premiums averaging hopefully 120+. Definitely not sold on bartel who i think will spend even more time forward this year meaning his fantasy score willl continue to decline. Good team balance though 8/10.
Please give my team a rate.

I can see that you haven't finish, needs a lot of improvement very average mids! Abletts a risk!  10/10 for trying 2/10 for the team! If you keep this team you will have trouble even winner your minor final! Xx

Made a bit of a change, little bit more risky but could pay off. what i have done is to try and get an early start on others with sandilands over the underdone leuenberger. any thoughts or tips on this one compared to the others???

The only real issue I have with this team is Forwards;  We all know the risk with Martin.  I have done some research on Johnson and like Goodes last year started the season slowly and his average against the first 6 teams the cats play this year is 81,5 take out his 146 v Bulldogs and it drops back to under 70.  Suitable alternates available at that price maybe upgrade target later.

Sit back and watch the NAB cup.
