Thinking of downgrading H Shaw & upgrading either L Ball or J Simpson in the mids. 1st 4 are for upgrading Ball & 2 nd 4 are if I upgrade Simpson.  I'm really unsure whether to keep the Shaw/Ball combo as Shaw may be a disappointment this year

H Shaw & L Ball
M Golby & D Heppell
S Atley& M DeBoar
C Howard & N Fyfe/A Gaff
M Golby & K Stevens
S Atley & J Stringer
C Howard & J Caddy
Another combination

If another combination, please provide details.

Assuming you're a Pies man, what's your thoughts on Shaw. Is he a lock in as we'll. He's been great value for me over the past couple of years, but I'm a little bit reluctant on him this year?

shaw is solid especialy in sc he stacks up year in year out. solid pick BUT

russell if in the best 22 which he should be will take some of shaws run off half back, which may hurt or help shaw?

i think there are better options than shaw, have never picked him in either dt or sc. but thats just me.

ball is dirt cheap and a lock for 90 odd average, get him in make 200K and get him out before the bye.

embley is the other option and probably just as good a pick.

heppell is only 1 of all guys mentioned that im even looking at so other combination for sure but dont know who you already have

Jack

Backs: Goddard, Shaw, Gibbs, Birchall, Goodes, Docherty, Van Unen, Terlich
Mids: Ablett, Pendlebury, JP Kennedy, Cotchin, Ball, Simpson, Crouch, O'Meara, T Mitchell, Viney

Grimes, Duffman, Hartlett and Hanley are all pretty viable in the backline and would probably be more reliable than Shaw.

If you're so keen on a mid-pricer then I'd definitely take Ball..... otherwise save the cash, take a premium back and a rookie mid and use the rest of your money elsewhere.

fyfe and yarran is what i have at the moment
