Hi all,

Just wondering what are peoples thoughts on how to order their pre draft selections?
What would be some of your ideas?
It just seems hard to order 800 or so players..

Thanks

If you've got an early pick, definitely take the best uber mid available. But if you've got a pick around the range where you think coaches will be taking 105 point mids and guys like Goddard, Gibbs or Rockliff are available and you are tipping them for a similar average, get them as there are very few of them, whilst the mids run deeper. If you instead pick a 105-point mid, you then might get an 80-point defender a couple of picks later when you need to start picking defenders. 105+80=185. Whereas if you took Gibbs for example, you could probably get a 90-point mid later. 105+90=195. Just my theory, so don't entrust it too much.

DPP means a lot more in a competition where trades aren't easily accomplished.

If you suffer an injury like in DT, you can just trade to cover, in Elite, not so much. DPP is key, blokes like Roughead, Cox, Gibbs, Goddard...

Worth their weight in gold.

so would you guys say that top defenders and forwards should be picked over close to top mids??

ie franklin over pendles or goddard over murphy??

position is more important that score?

Capper

it depends on your squad size but you definitely have to go Prem mid first for your captain, from there you have to go with your gut. Its hard to say because you dont know who other people will select.

DPPs will be like Gold especially guys like Gibbs, Goddard, Hartlett, Johnson, etc

Tabs nailed it first. You need to get a lock in captain mid with your first choice

From then it comes down to availability and DPP is a big consideration.

If your second pick came down to Goddard (back) vs Jack, Mitchell, Priddis I would take Goddard.

As your next pick should still see you with a Foley, Redden, Judd kinda of choice who will score better than then next tier backs Enright, Duffield, Hartlett
