WXV Reserves and Veterans League

Hi all!

I'm getting a bit twitchy, and thinking of expanding the competition a bit...

So here is my idea...

The World XV's Veterans and Reserves League

This would replace the current Reserves competition....

Here's how I see it working:

- Senior Coaches select an Assistant (however they want) to run there Reserves and Veterans Team. They can name it after any city they want, as long as it is a city reasonably close to the Senior team...

- The Assistant (with guidance from the Senior coach if they choose), draft 15 retired players to play for them. These players must have played at least 20 games from 2005 onwards (and should still be alive...).

- Each week, the assistant chooses 15 players from the reserves (who have to play) and the veterans.

Scoring?

The reserves scores are doubled (cos they are unlikely to score hundreds), and the scores for the veterans are randomly selected from there historical statistics (which is why only 2005 onwards stat count as I can't find SC scores prior to that). The Captain (who has to be a veteran unless you have 15 reserves playing) score is doubled.

I'm not going to worry about positions, so choose from whatever position you want...


Example... Mexico City have 19 players playing. And the 4 players not in the final XV are Alan Didak, Darren Pfeiffer, Jordan Russell and Jed Adcock. These 4 get dropped to the reserves and veterans team. The assistant will choose 11 veterans to play with these 4....

Reckon would do a veterans draft every year, just to keep us interested...

Only for this, you could ignore him entirely for the Senior comp...

The point was to create a draft game that was competitive every year, cos I like drafts lol

could always just have a new worlds where teams reset each year or you can only keep like 5 players.

Maybe start it next year? draft wont get done in time this year.
