more talent in the collingwood midfield then in last years st kilda side  , collingwood will win as many games with or without ball , st kilda last year would win more games i think with hayes

so what im saying is there is more chance of ball getting subbed then hayes

its comparing apples to oranges imo

If Ball was cheaper i would look at starting him, but wont be going near either of these guys now. I'd rather use the extra 150k elsewhere and have a rookie make money quicker with less risk then putting in Embley

l'm looking at starting both, l see them as stepping stones to premium mids while scoring consistently until then, and might even keep one as strong bench cover. At the moment my midfield is.....

Swan, Ablett, Pendles, Murphy, Ball, Embley, Wines, Viney, O'Meara, Crouch (but if Kane Mitchell is elevated off the rookie list and named rnd 1 he's in over one of the rookies)

That's what i'm thinking, surely the first year players will be vest material?

I'm looking at Pendlebury, Murphy, Redden, Dangerman, Fyfe/Mundy, Ball, Embley, Viney, Crouch, O'Meara

Something like that, should probably have one more rookie though, someone will come in and kill it, Magner, Greene type

the way i see it if they are stepping stones you downgrade a rookie and upgrade embley = 2 trades for 5 premos
you down grade a rookie and upgrade ball = 4 trades for 6 premos

if is start with 5 premos , i downgrade a rookie and up grade a rookie = 2 trades and 6 premos or am i missing something

im not saying its a bad strategy as i think they will make you coin but i think get a rookie and a premo in first is the way im going to go unless you want to keep them but niether should be in your side come end of year

Oli Wines Tbag.

Yeah he looks a real beast doesn't he, what worries me is price but guess it's not that bad for what he could do! Steal for Port I say, Wines and Wingard, set to transform Port

I don't want to drop any of those players though :'(

with the extra trades this year thats a price l'm prepared to pay in order to get off to a good start in overall ranking

Exactelly mate, 30 trades allows for different stratagies and makes midpricers much more apealing, also considering Varcoe and Knights, even Andy Otten should he play
