So I have decided to try my hand at making an SC team at this stage of the year due to varying factors (namely lack of alcohol in the house). So here is my pre-new years team for SC 2013.

TBC. Salary cap left: $42,700.

Brendon Goddard, Bryce Gibbs, Greg Broughton, Leigh Osborne, Brett Goodes, Lewis Stevenson
Dean Terlich, Sam Colquhoun

Gary Ablett jnr, Scott Pendlebury, Josh P. Kennedy, Trent Cotchin, Marc Murphy, Nathan Fyfe, Jesse Lonergan, Brad Crouch
Jaeger O'Meara, Jack Viney

Todd Goldstein, Matthew Leuenberger
Brodie Grundy, Daniel Currie

Lance Franklin, Tom Rockliff, Steve Johnson, Dustin Martin, Brent Staker, Brent Macaffer
Tim Membrey, Sam Dwyer

I have managed to eek out 15 keepers from the salary cap. Thoughts? Opinions? Alternatives?

All suggestions welcome.

Solid Team here mdon:

DEF: Probably your weakest line with only 3 prem defenders would like to see another prem or mid price player in here Means you are relyiing on three rookies to play each week.

MID: Very strong line here possibly at expense of defence with 6 prems.

Rucks: Solid

Forwards; Solid. What will Martin do this year.

Not sure what your views are on DPP but you do not have any named at the moment.

I would rate this team 7.5/10 but solid base to improve on.

This is a bloody good team. Good structure. As I believe miss score much better than backs and with the many backline rookies this could be the winning structure. Anyway need to wait for round one to see which rookies are named then go from then but really good team. I know nic nat had surgery but I think he's nearly a must in the forward line and also I don't see much improvement from kennedy. I'd rather be trying to find the next Kennedy( eg. Hannebery or say a zaharakis).

PICCOLLO

Lots to like here but perhaps too midfield heavy which costs u big elsewhere.  Id argue you'll be eating donuts early in ur fwd and def .  Even out your structure and take advantage of the fact that def and fwd rookies will be scarce commodities.

Fyfe and or Mundy a strong risk reward option at M5. I like the team, but strength of midfield leaves defense quite weak but that is the price you pay. Don't listen to all the nic Nat hosh posh and put him straight in as R1. He will show the competition a clean pair of heels this year. Absolute freak.

There are so many good and cheap mid rookies. Why not have less prems there otherwise you are relying on DEF's as cash cows too much
