Me and a mate were keen on going to the match on Friday but after seeing the squad having no Clarke (i understand him, Warner, Wade or Hussey playing its changed our minds
We may still attend the game next month against the Windies however
All this resting and rotation is driving fans away from the game, especially when the Big Bash is around

How's this for a conspiracy,CA name the Australia A side all series, crowd and tv numbers drop, now they have an excuse to replace one dayers with the pathetic T20 internationals next summer :o

JBs-Hawks

Only really care about test matches these days, will only watch the one dayers on tv cos there's nothing else on.

i am considering the Aust v WI at the SCG but thats about it. T20 is only good for drinking games

Tests are always more appealing due to their more back and forth nature.

T20s and ODIs are almost always a snowball affair

The longer the game, the better the game. ODI's can provide a balance between big hitting and tactical play. :)

I'll probably watch them on TV, as for going to the only ODI that Adelaide have (Don't get me started), I may wear my ECC shirt solely so i can cop some crap and go cheer with the the Sri Lankan crowd. ;D

Saw Sri Lanka v India last year and it was a tie :o the atmosphere was amazing, the Lankans danced up and down the outer all game, when the last ball resulted in a drw they all went silent ;D

Probably go to a game but at the test match I was far than less than impressed with the catoring (only half a ground running) due to upgrades, still, wasn't good enough imo, CA should be ashamed of it, and I was at day one with two tons a double ton and 480 runs :o

Not a fan of the rotation policy and i think the crowds will drop because of it. I know they play alot more cricket then they used to but blokes like Max walker and Merv Hughes could run in all day i a test series then line up for the onedayers, and these two werent exactly poster boys with 6 packs. Oh the days when men were men and sheep were nervous. ::)

there is an unhealthy obsession with players trying to become physically stronger rather than batting and bowling for long periods

so instead of getting players like Siddle who can bowl long spells all day

the mentality i seem to get is that we are getting youngsters who are trying to be physically stronger whilst their bodies are still growing and suffering injury

rather than those who can bowl for long spells or can bat in any conditions and are able to play every shot with correct technique

yes yes yes, i agree with you here. This was also a problem with Shane Watson in his earlier years (2005-06) when he was training those abs too much and not his bowling action/batting technique, and that is when he was struck down with injury.

Get players back to hitting cricket balls and bowling onto 20c pieces and i think better performances will be seen, both on and off field. :)
