Wow that's huge.

Yeh it is isn't it, a scary thought is somewhere out there possibly something bigger is lurking. They become very warey and clever the larger they get so who knows but a scary thought none the less. Atleast sharks cant walk out the water and take you like these buggers can. The only downer to Northern Australia is these suckers the rest is stunning, same with other places around the globe who have these critters among them.

If it makes you feel any better crocs only have to eat once every 2 weeks.  They are opportunistic hunters so if an easy target presents itself it will eat.

When in Cairns fishing the rivers we were amazed to see so many Japanese paddling around on those skinny surf skis, our guide said they were mad, we agreed after seeing Sarge at the Cairns zoo and hes a meter shorter than lolong but still a very scary site.

There's nothing like a big croc to scare the shower out of you, atleast if they take the tourists, they will leave the locals alone

Actually no it wouldnt.  Prob equivalent to a couple of chooks is all it needs.  Their heart rate is very very low and they dont expend a lot of energy

When I was North Queensland at the height of the Japanese interest in golf.  Played at Port Douglse behind a group of Japanese.  Wondered why they kept dropping balls and taking penalty shots.  Turned out they were told that is dangerous to get off the fairways for fear of crocodiles and other fauna.  Just followed the group around and at the end of the 18 holes collected 87 new golf balls from just off the fairway. Fear has its benefits.
