The guy Messi has scored more than 80 goals in 2012, lets go for our country now

Why does Argentina continue to fail at major tornaments? ??? Can they change or does it take a cheat to win a cup?

Seriously why does this team always fail ???

he used HGH as a child for medical reasons

At age 9, it was discovered that young Lionel had stopped growing. He was diagnosed with a growth disorder and was prescribed growth hormones. The future world’s best player injected himself daily, often bringing the medicine in a cooler so he would not miss any doses.

He continued therapy through age 13 and he eventually grew to 5′ 7″. Messi’s fantastic success story didn’t happen just because of human growth hormone (HGH), but it helped him get to the point where he could succeed.

unless he is still using HGH and used it at any time during his playing career, it cannot be considered illegal

but its probably the national coach that's the problem, Messi has played at Barcelona his whole career with great players to help him

He could be counted as one of the greatest ever because at the start of the year he averaged 49 goals in every 100 appearances... as it stands right now he averages 68 goals in every 100 appearances for club and country and has gone past Gerd Muller's record of goals in a single calendar year last night

He is still behind Di Stefano at 79 goals in every 100 appearances for club and country and Puskas with 96 goals in every 100 appearances but its pretty good if you ask me

Cic what on earth does that have to do with the question tbag is asking?? He wasn't referring to Messi as a cheat, rather Maradona, since that was when Argentina won stuff.

The answer they fail is because they have all the attacking talent in the world, but their defence and keeper stocks leave a lot to be desired. You can't win anything if you can stop the other team from scoring (although man utd are trying their best). The other problem is pretty much all their attacking players have huge egos and think they should be the star, so when trying to play them all together it doesn't work. Individually they are world class, but together they are second rate...

Yeah their defence is awful and I can't see Argentina winning a big international tournament unless that is sorted out. Maradonna as a coach was a ridiculous idea and was never going to work.
