Bartel or Stevie J in the forward line?
Is it too early to be thinking of these things?

don't think it's to early to be considering players

but yeah they are getting to old better younger players coming through

Rocky, Zaharakis, Robbo, Lewis, Robbo, Martin, Rioli, Bennell, Whitecross

would rather all them guys i think

Yeah agree about the age thing KB, but if Bartel or SJ  were the same price as  Whitecross Bennell, the 2 Robbos etc, it would or should make people consider their consistency over many years. Especially if Jimmy is m/b

I think it is too early for player A vs player B debates. Then again, I think its too early to plan a team at all until official prices are released so dont listen to me :P

I just dont think you could possibly make a decision on 2 players that are the same age that average around the same at this stage though. So much water to go under the bridge and they have barely started pre season training. Injuries, role changes, training form all yet to be determined.
Guess it doesn't hurt to see what the early consensus is though.

Stevie J for me if he continues to play midfield as he did in the 2nd half of 2012.. Who knows though

I haven't looked into the stats but I would think Bartel would be a more consistent steady scorer but Stevie J can go huge!

Stevie J. He was on fire in the last half of the year, averaging 114 excluding the game he got knocked out and scored 2. He should be massive, even if he is getting a bit old.

That was because he played mid though. Does he play mid in 2013?

Stevie plays where Stevie wants to play hahaha

They will both average similar. I'm tipping around 90. However bartels scores will rarely deviate too much and will be more durable. Stevie J seems to miss games. However he has the potential to score 160.

I also believe Stevie J may be mid only next year. He played a lot thru the midfield this season.

I'd go bartel if you want one of them

Adamant

Stevie J is underpriced, but tends to put in a few low scores at the start of the year. Bartel should be more consistent.

Both will be upgrade targets for me, but Bartel if I had to start with one.

Steve J does what he wants. At the start of the year he was played as a small forward but against the Dees at Skilled, Scott told him to play wherever. That was his first ton for the year. From then on he only failed to ton up 3 times out of about 13 appearances.
