DEF: B. Goddard, B. Gibbs, B. Waters, P. Duffield, G. Broughton, C. Pedersen, L. Plowman (S. Colquhoun, J. Thurlow)
MID: D. Swan, G. Ablett jnr, M. Murphy, A. Gaff, L. Ball, L. Whitfield (O. Wines, J. O'Meara)
RUC: H. McIntosh, M. Leuenberger (J. Daniher, M. Daw)
FWD: M. Pavlich, J. Roughead, H. Bennell, T. Cloke, M. LeCras, S. Mayes, J. Stringer (B. Staker, T. Lee)

My only problem is that I only have $700 left over from this list, meaning that if some rookies don't fire, I could have a rough few first weeks.
Are my mids too strong? Have I got too many midpricers? :-\ Thanks in advance guys!

Mr.Craig

You've spent a lot of money picking both Swan and Ablett along with a number of top priced rookies and that has affected the balance of your team. I can understand why some people want to go 5 premo/midpricers in the mids but you need to remember that those midfield rookies are going to provide the biggest cash generation and by having four you'll have more flexibility to upgrade and downgrade at the right time.

Given that, I think it would be best if you turn Gaff into a rookie and upgrade Mayes or Stringer to a forward premo (I reckon you should be able to afford Rocky). I feel like it's too much of a risk to field 2 rookies in the forwards, even if it is only for a short period.

It's a pretty good side overall. I could mount cases against H-Mac and Cloke but I like most of your picks. :)

Okay, I dropped Ablett and got in Viney, and with that I upgraded Shaw to Waite.

Yeah, I know those two are risky, but you gotta risk it for the biscuit!  ;)

Not too bad. Not a big fan of Gaff in there though. Won't go premium, and won't make you much cash, so will just sit there until you can upgrade. Reckon you are better off with a good kid, or reverse the Shaw - Waite trade and upgrade Gaff to another premo..

Gaff into his third year will go premo. Just a matter if he will average high 90s on 100-105s.

Haha the reason Gaff is in there is half hope that he'll go premo, quarter point of difference (if he does go premo) and a quarter that he's a great player to watch and one of my favourite eagles :P
