I'm thinking it may be better for guys like Nathan Bock and Robbie Gray, who are touch and go to be truly fit and ready for the start of the season, to miss the first 6 or so rounds. These guys may be a downgrade/sideways option when my starting players make some cash.
With 8 midfield players this year we will be needing to make good cash trades to be able to afford the top dollar premos. I agree with most that 30 trades is too many but we may end up needing them!
Just throwing some thoughts out there to see what you all think!

If Gray or Bock were to miss the first 6 rounds that would mean that they have had no, or a very moderated pre season and would take a long time to get going once they are playing.
If they arent in round one then I would cross them off your list

If they have a late preseason and a few games in reserves maybe?
Probably not though. Won't be starting them unless they play awesome in Nab.

Just wouldn't trust them to hold up or score well if they came into the season late.
And yeah, if they play nab then they will be playing round 1 and will both be locks.
I think its already been announced that Gray will miss the nab cup though and possibly some early games so thats not a good sign at all.

I think in the scenario that these guys started late for whatever reasons, i'd bring in bock but I would not be touching gray  next year..

bock will do his thing - lake wasn't fit was he really?? still churned out some decent scores. they are similar prototypes imo

but gray's injury was very bad, he has only really had 1 good pre season -feel sorry for thr bloke but IDK if he will eer be fantasy relevant now. dodgy hammys, dodgy back, and smashed his knee big time. I really don't think 12 months is long enough for him, not just for his body but his confidence. they will probs sub him and use him on a flank. not even a consideration for mine even if he is named round1

They would need to be keepers for me to pick them up over a bubble boy, and I'm not entirely sure they will be. Although maybe I'm still thinking like I've got 20 trades...

Still, I'm with Quinny, missing Rd1 means I drop them. :-X

yeah the reason are not good if they miss round 1 usually means they are not 100% which you want players to be returning from injury
