Mailman the 2nd

I think they went to about 800k as their maximum which is where Sydney say they'll be paying him.

I doubt we'll ever know about why he actually left Adelaide but it's irrelevant in the end. If he does go to Sydney it definately gives them the edge next year over the rest of the comp

I don't think it was just about the team, as you said adelaide was highly ranked. Or about the money, the offers were apparently very similar.

He wanted to get out of adelaide, and go where he has family. I don't understand why people won't just lay off him :P
probably because his family is in Queensland!!

he was born in country nsw- that means while his dad, mum and brother might be in queensland, every other relation, grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins all probably live in nsw. Sydney's ladder standing and offer might have tipped him over from gc/ birsbane, but I think its family that tipped him over adelaide... sydneys offer was at best equal to adelaides... it really isn't a money issue.

as per the talk on trade radio today, why arent GC looking at getting some taller backs in to help Bock??

Adelaide papers reported the crows offer to be nearer to 850k

yeah and Andrew Ireland (The Sydney trade spokesperson guy) said they'd be offering a little bit less then that

ok it apears that Tippett will get over the 4 years an average of just under 850K with the first year being less than the other 3

Suns a big chance again now I think. They really would be crazy not to look at him

Yeah, Tippett wouldn't fit in the Suns star forward lines. There 2 leading goalkickers from 2011 and 2012 are Danny Stanley and Gary Ablett jnr who are massive bodies. Couldn't possibly fit him in ;)

Tippett is the perfect player for them. They are lying, or they are stupid in my book.

They would be crazy not too. The only teams that i think dont want Tippett are the Crows, Saints and Bombers
