From what i have read we got Goddard, Tippett, Pearce and Lake all swapping clubs

Does this affect if you pick them or thier team mates next year?

Im thinking goddard will improve his avg but this could affect jobe and stants

Same with Lake - birch and suckers could see less of the ball with lake's ball hogging tendencies

tippet should be about the same avg i reckon

Cicjose

Pearce should up his average not enough to be a premium tho :(

...or maybe Birch just got another partner in crime to wax with. ;)

Been loving the free agency/trade week btw. Action everywhere!

I agree, anything to stretch out the footy season. The AFL has been quietly reducing the off season to prevent all the attention from being on the cricket and even A League. The actual season finishes in late September but then there is the trading period for all October and then the draft in November  :). NAB starts early March/late Feb I think so the off season is more like 3.5 months.

I love how we recruited Lake, will be great for Shoey's development.

U'd have to be gutsy but does this make Lake a viable option again. Will wax the absolute shower out of it at Hawthorn next year. Hawthorn love playing a bit of chippy mc chip chip and Lake will be one dirty little seagull back there. Can't believe I'm saying it, but strongly considering now.

Capper

Lake was only worth while this year due to his price

Next year he will take the big man and Gibson will roam.

Tippett, Pearce and Lake will be all no's for me and Goddard is a maybe but prob not

Adamant

Lake might be a viable option tbh...
Will have to see how he is used in NAB.

Lakes 30 odd, quite surprised the Hawks drafted him, must know something we don't. Mind u ,i wont rule him as a definate no until preseason

We got him because our defence is our main weakness, and he will take the big forwards such as Cloke and Hawkins who Schoenmakers struggles on. Meanwhile he will be helping Shoey develop while he bulks up more. We'll only need him for a couple of years to help win a premiership, we didn't give much up for him and he's not getting paid much. I won't go near him for DT but he could be a decent option I guess.

Yeah see your point henry, as i said, won't rule him out just yet

Yep good move by the Hawks cant see a downside to it really.
Premiership window will be open for a couple more years at least
sure's up the weak link their defence so i give it an A+. If there is a
downside its probably the effect it will have on Birch's scoring ability
but that's only relevant to Fantasy Footy not the real deal.
