Thoughts

One of the highest averaging forwards in the game, Matthew Pavlich really isn't shwing any signs of slowing down despire being on the wrong side of 30. He showed what a champion he is against Geelong and I expect him to continue doing his thing in 2013. There really isn't much discussion to be had here - A premium forward most deserving of a spot in your team.

Verdict

Unless he has a particularly slow preseason he'll be in my team. Just can't see the champ slowing down at all.

Prediction

113 for Pav next year. Will remain one of the most reliable scorers upp forward. Get on him.

Wouldnt lock just yet.
He is going in for a hip and achilles operation in the off season. Would wait and see how it affects his pre season

Dont think it will affect him too much....mabye safer as an upgrade target though?

Yeah could mean a bit of a slower start to the year (which he had this year as well anyway)
So perfect upgrade target

JamSainter

I reckon he will start off a bit slowly then I will pounce on him!

Shihan7

Was keen on him at the start, but probably an upgrade target now :P

Pav is a superstar! Decided to start with him instead of Fyfe and was a great move!
He had a great 2nd half of the season and will continue that into next year!

Thanks Sid, i had PAv all year this year and he didnt disappoint.

The injuries later in the year took there toll on his body. Hopefully he gets his body right for next season and comes out firing.

Not too sure whether to get him or not, he may start slow and drop in price a little, although always plays well in the derby

Have just uncovered this, in the seasons Pavlich averaged 100 or more -

If anyone has prices recorded before '08 that would shed a bit more light, but I don't so can't provide it.
Nonetheless that's got me thinking a bit, especially considering he's getting on and had surgery. I might consider him as an upgrade target instead. That being said he'll still be hard to ignore if his NAB form is good.

I think his slow start this year was more to do with Freo adapting to Lyon's game plan. Freo will be stronger again next year so expect Pav to be firing from the word go
