not sure why on Earth he would even want to stay - by staying at Port he gets less money; less resources; less on-field success - mates and loyalty is the only thing that'll make him stay

Actually at Port he would make more money.
and he can claim to be the best player ;D (though Hamish might argue, so would I) unlike Burgoyne who/s now a list player ;)

But it's true. Port will offer him more money than Geelong can.
yep whatlez is correct. As stated earlier, 92% of the salary cap must be used, therefore anyone getting a pay increase most probably means others will get a pay cut. In Travis Boak's and Port Adelaide's case, players will get their salary cut margainally so give this guy more money. :)

^That's why the fringe players sorta hope he goes, so more $$$ for them.

Noz

Apparently in the weekly record in a interview with Travis Boak. A question was asked to him whats the best place to visit while in Adelaide and he replied with "The Airport!" I really hope he doesn't leave as we have been grooming him as the next captain for a few years and it would set our development back a few years. Hopefully we get a ready made youngster gun in return for him as well as a mid round draft pick.

Maybe this thread could be re-titled 'Travis Boak why should he stay?'

They still have no idea whether he's still going to stay or not  :o

He played well again today. :) Gotta hope.

It will be announced at Port's B & F , hinting at the fact he WILL stay - unless he blows them off ala Jack Gunston style  :P
