Guerra's 2008 GF Medal has been stolen

'HAWTHORN defender Brent Guerra has gone on Twitter to plea for the return of his AFL premiership medal, saying it was stolen from his home.

Guerra was a member of the 2008 team that upset Geelong in the grand final for the Hawks' most recent premiership.

The Hawks are well-placed heading into this finals series, taking top spot on Saturday with an epic win over Sydney.

But Guerra's mood was soured on Monday with the break-in and the club has also made a public plea for the medal to be returned.

"To the person who broke into my house today and stole my 2008 premiership medal can you please return to police," Guerra tweeted.'

He got his medal back, just not his other shower

The medal was found by a street sweeper on Tuesday morning, dumped at a park in Herbert Street, St Kilda.

He contacted Triple M to hand it in, much to Guerra's relief.

"It hasn't been a great week for myself, getting the house robbed and the medal stolen last Monday, and also doing the hamstring," Guerra said.

Wouldnt play him unless he was 100% fit

Have way too much depth to risk playing and unfit player
