Simple question, who is the best pick?

I have 1 trade and about 170k to use this week for my GF in my cash league. Traded out selwood to okeefe last week so I could put Cloke on my bench, but considering trading him straight back in this week, seems the safe option. Also tempted by Priddis, but is playing hawks in melbourne. Harvey and Swallow have GWS in last round and could go big. And Jack has been scoring consistently well and flying under the radar.

Current Mids: Ablett, Watson, Pendlebury, Thompson, Murphy, Gibson (Haynes, Sutcliffe), Cannot afford Beams, Swan, Cotchin, Pav, Kennedy, Tuck. Anyone else is fair game.

How is your team looking against your opponent? If it's looking like a close one, I reckon go the smokey in Redden. Has been in red hot form the past three weeks (130+) and playing the Dogs could smash out another big score.

Adamant

Yeah I like Redden or Swallow against GWS.

Current difference between the sides are: He has no trades and will play Gibson in the mids. If my other players are named will be trading him out.

Me:              vs      Him
Enright                  Carrazzo
Waters                  Birchall
Thompson             Priddis
Jacobs                   Cox
ROK                      Pav
Lewis                    Chapman
????                      Gibson

Looking like it could be a close one! That extra premium mid could get you over the line. Just have to hope everyone's named  :)

Yeah very close! could actually be better if just one prem isnt named, that is a common player to us both. As I could sideways trade and my opponent would have to bring someone like Baguly onto the field.

Yeah true! That one trade could be a real bonus. Pretty much the same situation as me, one trade left while opponent has none. Will just have to wait for teams to be announced...

Have u considered the fact that Gibson is playing GWS? And that apart from last week where no-one except Swallow had a decent score vs Freo he's been good? And that it's not always your Wells and Swallows that score huge vs GWS but others (like Bastinac last time they met)?

U would spew if Gibson outscored whoever u get in. Particularly as ur opponent has him! Food for thought.

I know what you're saying ubeaut, but wouldn't it be better to go with a proven premium rather than a first year rookie? I know Gibson's a gun, but he's still more of a risk than a proven.

Maybe he's hit that rookie wall now and will post another average score. Then again, as you said, he could pull out a massive score! Gibson and Treloar have been awesome in the second half of the year and Zorko is just awesome overall!

Out of those I would say Redden or Selwood. Personally I would play it safe with Selwood fresh from a week off. But don't be surprised if Gibson does well this round.

And I know what you're saying too. But last week Treloar (first year rookie) outscored Buddy,Chappy and Goodes.(proven premiums)
