So just to make it clear, I luckily won this week in my league vs the top team, so I won't be playing anyone this week. BUT, with two trades left and 30 k in the bank, I can straight swap Birchall for Adcock and perhaps sure up my team for the finals. The risk of course is the fact that Birchall may well be rested (though probably just this week vs GCS where it won't matter to me), and that for the last two games of the season Adcock might breakeven with Birchall or perhaps even outscore him. Also, with only 2 trades left, having only 1 left for the last two finals (assuming I get into the GF!) might be risky with all the resting and injury chaos that inevitably happens.

The other option I was considering is Hayes to Boyd or perhaps Selwood?

My team is complete, with only Jacobs/Goldstein as my rucks being semi-premiums, along with Hayes.

Backs: Deledio, Goddard, Scotland, Carrazzo, Waters, H. Shaw, Adcock (S. Shaw, J. Allen (finally played a game after I traded him in 5 weeks ago for Ellis! And yes I lost not only money but good cover on that trade)).

Mids: Swan, Ablett, Watson, Pendles, Mitchell, Hayes (S. Gibson, M. Williams)

Rucks: S. Jacobs, Goldstein (Stephenson, Redden)

Forwards: Chapman, Beams, Sidebottom, Dangerfield, Robinson, Fyfe (traded him for Franklin two weeks ago, which was actually crucial to get me into 4th place on percentage, so ended up being worth it... would've lost if I had've been 5th to Maxwells team) Martin, (Zorko, Hall (unfortunately I didn't get a chance to check the teams on friday and so didn't get his score!).

Sorry for the long post, but even quick one word answers are welcome!

Cheers!

Do not trade this week mate. There's no game on and you never know what is going to happen before your next game. Must be tempting to get in Birch as he's set for a price rise but if he gets rested/injured the following week for your prelim then you've wasted the trade.
Hold your fire soldier. Make your final 2 trades count!

Hold, they're trades that don't really offer much, maybe Adcock needs upgrading but not till next week and definitely get Grimes

Yep but unfortunately that will cost me two trades rather than the straight swap I can get away with if I get in Birchall now. Having said that, I might be able to get the cash by sidewaying another premium in the event of an injury.

However, you guys are right it most likely isn't worth it, and ideally I'd like to keep a trade for each of the remaining matches.

Cheers (and cheered!)

i got beams in the week of collingwoods bye because my player was set to drop price a lot. worked out great in the end for me and just had a rookie covering his spot. if your going todo it i guess do it now or it will cost u 2 trades. otherwise dont trade it at all or go for someone else

If I had lost I'm definitely sure I'd be tempted, but yeah as everyone seems to mention I think I'll be better off holding. Cheers all.
