Bargain MIDFIELD Theory 2010

Ok so i'm thinking there are a lot of good cheap options in the midfield this year and i think it could be possible to have a solid team with the only decent mid as Bartel (captain). I have a feeling this could well pay off this year as i am able to Load the team up with guns in the other positions any how here is my team as i see it at the moment.

I may be missing something here but to me this seems a pretty solid team provided i get the right mix of rookies in the mids...

haha, i am quite happy with this at the moment i definitely don't think i'll go with bargain rucks. I reckon i'll just load the forwards mids and rucks and hope these mid priced midfielders perform :P

I've had the same thoughts.  With Swan (C), Masten, McVeigh, Kerr, Crowley, Martin. emg Shuey, Bastinac

However, i think there are problems in your team... like waite, steve j, young and hille - all injury conerns.  but that's just my opinion.  Stick with you gut i say.

Running a similar strategy as well. However, I'm using two premiums.

Ablett, Swan, Masten, Kerr, Martin, Morabito      Shuey, Bastinac

Good theory, I'm considering doing something similar except use cheaper players on the forward line and stack all the other lines. I tried it to have a look and I must admit I have REAL problems with it, it could easily blow up on you. But if you're cheapies work you could be in an excellent position later on in the season for trading. But if you lose the first six games you're season is over >:(

Solid team.  The only thing I don't like is the $323k left in the bank.  That is enough for some damn good players.  I would probably upgrade Hille to Naitanui and possibly Shaw to Enright with that coin

yeh if ur keen mate i'll start another league, but this year i think i'll send the code around to avoid getting those 1 or 2 people that don't care. I'll start it in the Leagues section.
