Is it crazy to bring in a ruckman who won't play for the year?

Re-Kerr-ing Nightmare

Hi guys. Would really appreciate some advice.

5 trades left

Backs: B. Deledio, B. Goddard, M. Suckling, C. Dempsey, A. Carrazzo, S. Fisher, S. Shaw (C. Newman, J. Brennan)

Midfield: J. Watson, G. Ablett jnr, J. Selwood, S. Pendlebury, M. Priddis, M. Murphy (S. Thompson, H. Crozier)

Rucks: D. Hale, S. Mumford (T. Campbell, J. Jenkins)

Forwards: P. Dangerfield, S. Sidebottom, L. Franklin, L. Adams, J. Lewis, D. Martin, A. Goodes (B. Smedts, D. Smith)

CASH LEFT: $97,600

Managed to make the top 2 in all 4 of my leagues and want to make 2 trades this week in the hope of getting the next week off. My main concerns are my ruck stocks (though they did fire this week), the failed experiment that was C. Newman and L. Adams' dodgy shoulders. I have the luxury of a 7th prem mid which some of you might not agree with.

Thinking of downgrading Smedts to J. Staley to bring Hale into my forward line and then upgrading Jenkins to one of Maric, Cox or Jacobs with around $80,000 change. This would give me some backup if Mumford's back flairs up again or allow me to bench Hale if Bailey comes back into the hawks lineup. This will also allows me to target another backline upgrade once S. Shaw has topped out in price. Would love to get Fyfe in somehow but hey you can only do 2 trades in a week.
Any alternative suggestions?

Firstly that's a pretty good team to have with 5 trades left. Congrats.

I like ur thinking with cover for Mummy and Hale. And Fyfe could make excellent DPP cover happen if u get him in for Crozier.
