The ROK and Ben's Team

So I have 2 trades left and am struggling to decide whether to use them and make my finished team even better or jsut hold for LTI's, I am 36th overall but am realistically trying to win the schools comp which I'm second in. My team is finished with an extra premium up forward if zorko is counted as a premium. BUT if i don't trade this week I have one zero thanks to buddy sexton couch and sidey all out.

I could trade Sam Gibson to ROK and Barlow to Pendlebury this week as it would leave me with martin and zorko as my bench cover for midfield and forward line once franklin and sidey in but I am really just fishing for ideas.

Giles is annoying me, but he is annoying most people, and apart from doing the upgrade of him to Maric and using all my cash it seems much more worth it to upgrade bench cover elsewhere and cop the points differential between Giles and other ruckmen for the rest of the season as at least Giles will probably play 5 of the 6 games left.

My Team is below: Cash: 260 grand. 2 trades.

Def: Lids, Carrots, Scotland, Grimes, Suckling, Goddard, Adcock. Subs: Shaw, Spurr

Mids: Swan, Watson, Boyd, Ablett, Thompson, Barlow. Subs: Gibson, Sexton

Rucks: Cox, Giles. Subs: Redden, Campbell

Fwds: Sidey, Beams, Chapman, Franklin, Zorko, WhiteX, Dangerfield. Subs: Martin, Couch

Am thinking:

- cop 0 this week, hold trades for LTI's

- 2 trades, gibson to ROK (or any fwd, loves ROK's form but) and barlow to Pendles (or any other premo). Giving martin and zorko as bench cover for fwd/mid

- 1 trade, gibson to ROK, same deal

- 1 trade, lids to mids, gibson to waters (barlow to pendles still option)

- 1 trade, gibson to pendles, barlow as mid cover, zorko or martin as fwd cover, (still option for Barlow to ROK or other FWD)

- 1 trade, S shaw or spurr to waters, adcock or suckling as cover (still option for barlow for mid/fwd or mid)

My constant mentioning of trading barlow is to keep moving up the rankings or to hold my ranking at times he is a good unique and he scores constant tons but he does not have the capacity for big tons.

Thought i'd just see what people's thoughts were, good to get some discussion going anyway as everyone's interest wanes a bit when the trades run dry at this time of year

Cheers

Whoa. Fair bit of reading there  :) Just some advice, you'll probably get more responses if you keep it short and to the point. We're all a bit lazy sometimes  ;)

Hard for any of us to give you advice, that is a great team and very nice ranking. Congrats!

Only thing I would say at the moment is to be conservative with trades at the moment. There will be a lot of people with donuts and this will continue as folks run out of trades. You could come in really quickly in the last few rounds just by having a full team on the park.

Good luck and keep us posted!

Get rid of Giles, go to Mcevoy, and trade sexton to winderlich (risky but sexton is dead meat on the bench). These uniques will help get you over the line

Haha thanks I tried to keep it short but I think it ended up becoming as much a collection of my own thoughts to help myself out in considering my options .

I think you are right that I have to hold and not bite the bullet though it just gets very tempting but we will see how this logic holds up closer to lockout .

Whoa unreal theory I had not even considered it. Will have to short list it,

You think McEvoy will be good for at least 90ppg and I don't know much on winderlich's dt history but how does it weigh up?
