Burning last 2 trades!

Got 2 trades left, $90k in the bank, and fairly happy with my onfield team (assuming they're on field lol), and accepted I have NO bench cover. Currently 3rd in my league, only going for league win. Should make finals, even if I drop last two games (on %, just).

Thinking of burning my last 2 trades as follows:
Kreuzer (BE 85) > Ben Hudson (BE 67 - hear out my reasoning), then
Golby > Grimes (BE 16) and move Darley to bench

Trades will be gone, and $9k left over.

Rest of my team is as follows for reference:
Deledio  Goddard  Lake  Shaw (H)  Mackie  Carrazzo  Darley  (Golby, Paine)
Thompson (S)  Ablett  Selwood (J)  Stanton  Boyd  Swan  (B Hill, Crozier)
Kreuzer  Giles  (Redden  Derickx)
Sidebottom  Dangerfield  Pavlich  Chapman  Porplyzia  Zorko  Dickson  (T Adams, Sexton)

I'm over Kreuzer's below par performances, and with a BE of 85 he's no doubt going to drop more cash this week. Leaning towards Hudson as his last 3 weeks 108 avg (5 wk 98 avg), and his low BE means he'll go up after this week. AND, he's a decent POD as practically no-one has him....Going Kreuzer over Giles as Giles seems to have a reasonable run home, and frees up a little more cash to replace Golby.

Golby to Grimes now because Grimes will jump with his BE of 16.

I know I'm taking a HUGE risk and will be showered if I get any resting/LTI's (having said that, won last 2 games with 2 and 3 donuts respectively), but want to get my final team done now while I can afford who I want. Would be nice to secure a top 4 spot also.

Opinions appreciated obviously, and thanks in advance for reading this essay!  8)

I do like those trades, but surely you'll need them later in the game? I'm a big wrap for Grimes, but imagine if you bring him in and he gets injured again... He is very injury prone...

Wouldn't do the Kreuzer trade. Your forwards are pretty weak with Dickson in there. I'd swap Dickson to Tippett (if he comes back) or Goodes next week who should fall within reach with his high BE. I'd say Kreuzer + Tippett/Goodes will outscore Hudson + Dickson over the rest of the year.

Up to you on the Grimes trade, I'd personally look at Fisher who looked good last week and has a pretty nice draw. If you go Fisher you may be able to squeeze Goodes in this week.

That is of course that you're sure you want to burn your last two trades. Your team isn't the strongest so I wouldn't be against it.

Tippet might not play for the rest of the year. I'd advise people who had him, to trade him out

All good points. Hadn't thought of looking at my forwards as my rucks are where I thought I was the weakest. I guess I'm only gaining about 20pg if kreuz hits his average, so there may be more to be gained with a forward trade. Injury with grimes definitely a concern. More food for thought

if ur gonna make the finals i wouldn't use those trades until then

Part of me knows I should wait, but then the other part of me just wants to get rid of them so then I dont have to think about them ;D If Darley is named this week I think I'll hold and wait for Golby to come back, if not I might pull the trigger and atleast do one trade for my back line Just to avoid a third consecutive week eating a donut (3 last week, 2 week before).

what if swans hammy goes? or kreuz goes in for surgery? etc etc. with no cover ur kinda crazy to not have them up your sleeve.

True, that'd top off the season nicely I guess  ;) Will suss out the teams and hold for now
