Yep the season will throw up other names from here on in im sure but I think Maric would have to completely fall over in the last 6 games for him not to be considered the breakout player of the year.
Yeah he was stuck behind Jacobs, but Jacobs wasnt half the player last year that he is this year.. and Maric had never been good even before that. His highest avg was 72

And Kennedy is the second highest ranked player in the whole game so how can jack have surpassed him?

As in he has surpassed him as the Swans number 1 midfielder. Kennedy has slowed down since his hot start to the year and Jack has been getting tagged the last few weeks as he is hurting the opposition more.

Arguable again. Hes in better form yes, but on the weekend kennedy had 30 odd touches and 150+ SC points Vs Jack's 20 odd touches and 90 odd SC points..

But thats a debate for another day.. its past my bedtime!

No love for Zorko in his first season of AFL for a mature aged player.

In saying that I agree that Maric is the definite No 1 break out player this year.  Just peeved that I listened to all the talk about not getting him in Round 1.  Know I am not Robinson Crusoe here.

I would then rate Zorko just behind him given he was playing NEAFL last year.

Yes I know Im bias

Think Nathan Jones has stepped up again, and you could argue Mitch Clark. Even though he was a former all-australian, he has improved dramatically as a forward.

Other unique names that stand out to me:
Jarryd Blair
Even Daniel Merret

And since I'm a crows fan...i could also argue that Sloane is up there
the Sloaneburger has been great, who other than those in Adelaide saw this happening?
