Make desperate trades to make finals?

I'm sitting outside the 8 in my league and need to win the final 4 games in order to have a chance of making finals.

The first of these games will be very tough but the last three games are pretty easy.

My problem is that I have Goddard, Franklin and Martin all out this week and only 3 trades left.  I do have cover for these players though in Ellis (or Shaw), Kennedy and Smedts.  My team is set apart from Ellis/Shaw, one of which I would like to upgrade.

My opponent has Goddard, Franklin and Waters out.

Given this week is a must-win game, should I make a desperate trade?

I'm thinking Franklin to someone like Beams or Chapman., and then Ellis to Yarran leaving me with 1 trade (which I won't need to use until finals).

Wait till you see the teams on Thursday afternoon. If you have cover, then hold your trades. If you don't have Franklin in the finals and your opponent does, you are in trouble. Ellis and Smedts should play, Kennedy not sure.

If you need to win this week or you are dead so to speak, then yes that seems like a great play. Got to be in it to win it. Beams and Yarran are two likely types. Good luck!

I Agree with Enzedder i'd rather get knocked out in the first week of finals in the top 8 than win the bottom eight. Be smart though and make sure your upgrades work on completing your team not just covering injuries, so prioritise on getting that last defender spot.

If you have to make the trades...
How about Franklin --> Goodes? Get cash out of it as well...

+1 Definitely

Post whole team and cash in bank so get better picture of whats going on.

No point keeping trades if you can't make the 8.

Thanks for the advice guys.  Here's my team.  If Tippet's also out then I'm royally screwed.

What trades should I make for the best chance of success this week?

prolly look at buddy >>> chappy, pav [ has finally found some good scores ] nroo [ yes !!! nroo has ave over 100 ] .

ellis to yarran sounds ok but even tho' his last 2 games have been good, his ave is only about 65 .

Hall to McIntrye. Get a bit of cash and bench cover temporarily. Atleast then you have more options later on in the season to decide what to do with Ellis and/or S. Shaw. I think a trade is worth more at this stage in the season (with 3 left) than the ppg difference between Ellis and Yarran...

Can you put screen shot of your oppositions team?

Opponents team:

Appreciate any advice I can get, remembering that If I don't win then I'm out of the finals race (and the next three games after this are easybeats).

Hold on to your trades. It will be close this week, but you are a good chance to win. Your opponent has a donut in his backline. You have no donuts in your team at the moment.

But in saying that, wait for the teams to be listed. If A. Kennedy and A. Hall both don't get named, trade one of them for McIntire (if he gets named of course), to avoid the donut in your forward line.
