What to do?

Gravy>Carrots then next week Zorko>MJ (Swing MJ with Smedts) = 2 trades 2 premos depth between fwd def
Gravy>Carrots and Zorko>Birchal  = 2 trades 2 premos loss of depth
McDonald>Murdoch and Darley>Carrota = 2 trades 1 premo still playing gravy, but have Zorko mid/fwd cover
Other please comment

I currently have 6 trades, and $76,900k in the bank. I need to strengthen my Def, and as i see it, ideally bring in two more premos...

Team
Def: Lids, God, Shaw, Broughton, Hepp, Gravy, Smedts (Darley, Shaw)
Mid: Swan, Ablett, Stanton, Boyd, Pendlebury, Mitchel (McDonald, Gibson)
Ruc: Mullet, Giles (BigO, Longer)
Fwd: Beams, Sidey, Buddy, Chappy, Robbo, Whitey, Dusty (Zorko, Crozier)

Thoughts:
Has the gravy train well and trully ended, or is it just nearing the top of the hill to ride all the way down to finals?
Is Zorko a keeper, or is he just a great cash cow to be slaughtered for the good of the fielding players?
Is Smedts and Crozier as bench cover terrible? Though if an injury i can swing MJ into the fwd line to play and field Darley.

Option one for me, also you are missing a player in your mids champ.

I know, i seem to be missing one every week. Ablett, then Swan then Pendles... lol... It was Boyd

I don't think Smedts and Crozier would be solid enough bench cover so either option 1 or 3. I think keeping Zorko to cover the mids and fwds is worth an extra trade so I went option 3

its me lads

Smedts and crozier aren't very safe bench cover...

i like option 2 though.
carrots and Birch will make very handy inclusions and i don't like Johnson.
Option 3 isn't bad either, with 6 trades left you can afford to do that

At the moment Zorko is a keeper, hopefully he doesn't hit the Horsely wall.

overall i think you would benefit the most from option 2 in the long and short term.

Option 1 i reckon for the reasons you mentioned.
I can see option 2 turning out to be 3 trades anyway if there is an injury and i believe that Hargrave needs to go.

Having Johnson in the backs is great for depth and if someone is injured in the forwards you have still got good defence cover to sort that out.

Thanks for comments, I agree Smedts and Crozier is a little week, especially come resting. I supose the reason i like it is Smedts becomes Johnson , and D7 can be either Smedts/Darley/SamShaw one of which should be playing...

Whereas if i go Birchal, i have just got Smedts and Crozier cover for fwd resting.
