His way too up and down and I think you are also underestimating how hard it is to push a 100 average over 10 rounds.  Historically speaking, most players tend to "drop off" in the 2nd half of the season.

In 2011, the only defender that did it was Gibbs after averaging 90's doing tagging jobs.
In 2010, the only defender that did it was James Kelly.

Not saying its impossible, but its extremely uncommon.  MJ is already averaging 98 over a 12 game sample size, and if he does drop off I don't expect it too be too massive.

At the end of the day, just go with your gut.  What do I know LOL.

Adcock is capable of 100+ SC bursts, but he is way too inconsistent and injury prone for my liking.  He missed like 3 weeks with a sore finger last year!
