It was actually groin tightness.

Clarko said he will play after the bye.

No dramas.  8)

i love clarko but he cannot tell the truth when it comes to injuries so i'll believe whitex is ok when he actually runs out on the field

eg. birchall wouldn't have even missed a game according to clarko this year

True, but not really worth trading him out IMO.

me

indeed, i wore his donut last weekend so will hang tough

JBs-Hawks

After the bye it will be Martin whitey and zorko fighting for f6 and f7

I reckon he will need to show some form in the magoo's before he can get back in the side.

Wouldnt be surprised if Suckling goes back either in the coming weeks...there are more players on the list that have more hunger and desperation in their game I would imagine...Chainsaw Cheney being one of them.

Whitecross is having his best season for the club..
He will not get dropped for a hail mary player like cheney..

Kuruki

Whitey has been sensational. He will play as soon as he is fit. There is noway he would be dropped.

Thats your opinion mate and thats fine.

I watch the Hawks play every weekend and put forward my opinion...Id have Cheney in the side anyday from what he has shown when he gets a chance...he is hard at it and plays like he actually wants to get the ball...not like 2 or 3 others currently getting a guernsey.

DT Gun

So your putting an idea forward that you want a guy who is in career best form, playing great footy for the club and probably in their top 10 players every week to be dropped?

I dont care if you think Cheney is the next judd, hell even if Clarko thought that Cheney was the best footballer that Hawthorn had, Whitecross will not be dropped.

Windigo

WhiteX's style is outside. He sags off packs and waits for his inside players to distribute it out. Might not be flashy, but plays a role for the team.

You cannot have an entire midfield of inside players....

I'll have to politely disagree with you on that one. At best Cheney is a serivceable backman who can rebound a bit but Whitecross and Suckling are capable of breaking games apart. I mean, Suckling had the most disposals last week ???. You might question his passion but I think his value to the side is more than obvious. Same goes for Whitecross.

I was dissappointed and actually shaking my head at sucklings endeavour last weekend....

Cant remember Suckling or WhiteX breaking games half apart this year...actually probably quite the opposite IMO with poor decision making and lack of endeavour.

Cheneys hard at it style is very much like CBrown, and it rubs off on other players when they see some blokes having a dip. Without Hodge...too much is being left to Ruffnut and Lewis to take up the slack to do the dirty work, Im not talking about ball ups either, but out in the general game play

The year the Hawks last won the premiership...nearly half the team had demerit points and were on the verge of suspension...how many are at that stage in 2012?

Suckling & Whitex both had much more of an impact and even their confidence with ball in hand was better last year.

I hope they both improve in the 2nd half of the year, if they do, it will make a huge difference to the team

Add to that list Savage, Smith & Burgoyne

Downhill skiers that go missing when someone needs to step up...so far this year anyways
