Smedts and Spurr

Doesnt look like they will be getting much of a run, particularly Spurr. Should I bite the bullet and sideways trade a rookie to Sam Shaw?

Shaw's job security looks safer and he looks the goods. I have 9 trades left.

Smedts' chances of playing have increased - albeit slightly - now that Jesse Stringer has been suspended for the rest of the year, which means one less rookie Smedts has to compete with for that 22nd spot in the team.

Spurr meanwhile, he has more finals experience than most of the Freo squad put together (he dominated SANFL for 4-5 years at Central District) but I don't think that means much. His JS is very minuscule and Paul Duffield still has to come back into the side, so I'd imagine he is ahead of Spurr in the pecking order


Having said all that, yes I would definitely trade Spurr to Shaw if he Spurr is not named, but if Smedts isn't picked and Spurr is, I'd trade Smedts to Shaw

I wouldn't trade either (unless you have the luxury of excess trades left)....With a couple of full games both have plenty of cash left...Sam Shaw already had a price rise and I'll be looking at other options...

Having said that...if you are trading purely based on the JS then I think Shaw has better chances....
