which trades this week?

11 trades and $41,500 remaining



these are the trades i was thinking this week:

Treloar -> Gibson
McDonald -> Watson

that only leaves me with 9 trades, BUT a finalized midfield (and one i'm pretty happy with) and only 1 back, 1 forward but 2 rucks to upgrade (tall prick decided to hurt his toe again)

the only real problem with that trade is i lose my MID/FWD DDP link.. but tbh i don't think i've used it this year anyway. if it comes back to bite me on the ass then i deserve it for being an idiot. that and the ruck situation of course :P

OR

i could go

Treloar -> Gibson
McDonald -> Scott Thompson

with the major plus being i have $82,800 left over. JUST enough to go Sandilands -> Maric next week.

that leaves me with 8 trades, with the same upgrades as previously stated to go - but after this week i have 2 playing rucks (not having to hope Big O or Redden play and score well)


so to sum it up, i could get Watson in this week, and try to think of a way to get in Maric next week (or someone else),  or i could get Scotty Thompson in with a guarantee on trading in Maric for Sandi next week.


IMO.. i can see the good in both. i'd rather get Watson over Thompson, but really i'm not losing too much (maybe even gaining points??) in getting in Thompson with the GUARANTEE of using 1 trade for Maric next week


which trades should i be doing? any help is always appreciated hugely :)

First trade: Horsley to Gibson (This will get rid of all donuts in the midfield this week)
Second Trade: Sanidlands to Maric (Do that this week too, again, getting ird of the donut and adding another ruck)

Then you go Treloar >> Couch (keeps DPP in between the mids/fwds)
And hopefully Spurr >> Carrazzo if you don't have enough then go McDonald >> Premium mid to finish off the mids. That'll mean you forget about Carrazzo though. ;-\

Should you get Carrazzo: Giles, McDonald and Zorko will be your playing rooks with 7 tradfes left. As with ALOT of teams, you need to hope that Zorko keeps up his scoring rate. :) Goo looking side. :)

i don't really want to get Maric in this week though, as it's his bye this week. the quickest way i can get him in is if i do the trades i mentioned below.. but can only afford him if i go Thompson instead of Watson.

i can't go Treloar -> Couch, as i already have Couch :P

and the only way i can afford Maric aswell is if i trade McDonald and Treloar. if i trade Horsley this week, that will leave me with $485,100.... i need $485,500 for Maric... $400 short :( :'(

i know that if i trade McDonald this week he will probably still make a little bit more money, but his job in my side is to get me a Premo and he's done his job. can't ask anymore for an old dude :D

i know that Horsley is a high chance of going down this week, but i reckon he will start making cash again after this week. then i can go Horsley -> Docherty (or someone else) and that will also give Darley and S.Shaw time to fatten up and be able to get in Scotland as my last def. that, or i can go the other end and hope Cameron can keep up his scoring for a little while and be able to afford Chapman. whichever one comes first

so i guess if i want the guarantee of a 1 trade Maric next week, i'll have to get in Scotty Thompson this week (even though i really wanted Watson :()

I reckon that can fit into the salary cap, just.
6 trades left, only Giles and Zorko are you playing rookies.

Another option is do Sandilands >> Jacobs/Cox this week, and work on finding space for Giles >> Maric

*NOTE: Jacobs is less than Giles so if you do that trade you will make money*

oh i see, that sounds like a good plan!

i done some calculating to see how it would work out. i guess it all depends on how much Watson goes up this week, and how much McDonald and the back rooks go up

ROUND 13:
Horsley -> Gibson
Treloar -> Crozier
$465,500

and hope to god Watson doesn't kill it this week (his BE is only about 85)..

ROUND 14:
McDonald $305,000 -> Watson $540,000, Sandilands ($405,500) -> Maric ($485,500)

McDonald and Watson's scores are an absolute stab in the dark.. i'm not really sure what their price will be after this week

but if for some magic reason that's what their prices are, i'll be left with about $155,000..

so say Carrazzo (BE about 136) scores 100 this week.. how much will he go down? and what will his estimated BE be the week after? so many questions i know but if someone could please tell me (or even guess) that'd be awesome :P


in essence that'll leave me with Watson & Carrazzo.. if i went the other way i'd end up having Thompson & Scotland..  (both cases i'd have Maric)..  which duo would be the better pick?

just realised i asked what will Carrazzo score this week.. i guess the only chance he has in scoring is if he gets the ball in the crowd and handballs it back to an umpire/player.

take out this week how much will he go down next week, and maybe the week after

In my planning i have Carrazzo at $360'000 ready to trade in Rd 15 as that is when he'll bottom out. So after his next game, asusming he score around 100, he'll have a BE of 20 maybe, as the 3 he scored will be out of his rolling average. So Ellis >> Carrazzo should fit in. :D

I like Watson and Carrazzo, mainly because i am getting them aswell. ;D



And as a side note with predicting players prices, always go to the end which will hurt you the most. e.g. the players you have finish at a lower price and the players you want finish at a higher price. ;) In my case i had myself trading out Shiel in Rd 15 at $330k, i just realised he's currently priced at $341k and predicted to rise again. :D So it make you feel better when trading these guys in. :)

i traded out Ellis last week for S.Shaw :P

i'd probably be looking at dumping Darley instead, hopefully he can make about 35-40k+ in the next 2 weeks, then i SHOULD be able to get Carrazzo in.

i'm just gonna risk it.. i guess it adds a little more excitement to the game
