I think.... he stopped trying.
Because after 53 touches and a 100 point demolition.... he might as well do nothing, get 20 touches and still lose by 100 points.


Has anyone noticed... it doesn't matter how many touches Ablett gets?
And that the Suns played their best footy when Ablett was injured?   ::)

I don't think it's that he stopped trying, but he copped a lot of media flak about basically 'possession whoring' which probably psychologically made him second guess himself.

Anyone reckon he'll ask to get out of his contract and maybe go back to Geelong in another year?

He looks so frustrated and I'm sure all the extra attention he gets up there would be pretty deflating.

Its ok lads he was just still suffering the effects of leather poisoning he contracted last weekend. Should be back to normal next game

I wouldn't rule out that he might leave. There's enough there with his body language etc to assume him leaving isn't out of the question.

Ablett needs to request a trade to a different team. I think he'll go into depression putting up with 100 point poundings every week.

GC have recruited absolute jokers and need to offload the likes of Brennan, Riscetelli etc and get draft picks and hope they can compete in 2020.

Ablett went into this deal knowing what to expect. He would be frustrated yes but cant see him leaving something he is helping to build. We talk about the 2nd year players' struggles on here a bit and GC have more than half a team of 2nd year players. GC will improve dramatically next year and have a very bright future. I'm sure Gary can see this and I'm sure he'll be leading GC when they do succeed
He won't be going anywhere
