Mid priced players are a critical cog in team selections.

I say this because of the level of investment made vs return.

Guns are guns, majority hold their form. If they don't you can usually trade for another gun without causing too much damage.

Rookies are a cheap investment, you'll either cash in or have dead money ( but it's not much ).

Mid priced players are tricky because you are selecting them to improve on previous form and usually to retain them in your side. In my opinion they represent the biggest risk because if you get caught out you need to invest further to upgrade, other mid priced improvers may have already inflated and you've wasted cash to rectify the situation.

I think every good side needs their mid priced keepers ( aka Nick Stevens last year ) but I don't think that selecting them in the forward line is a good idea, particularly with the pattern of game plans we are seeing develop.
