OK so its a new rule and a bit of a carrot, who is going to pick a few.

The best combo I have come up with ATM is Tippet as my number two ruck, Warnock Number 3 ruck and Lobbe on the bench in the forward line. If any forward goes down Tippet goes forward, Warnock to 2nd Ruck and Lobbe Number 3 Ruck!

Apart from that you would be looking at PAV, ROK (mid/forw), Goddard, Hodge (mid/back) but you are limitting yourself to that particular player going down either forward or back and bringing in a super sub midfield like Morradito? Also which MPP premium would you list as a Mid??????

I have considered starting ROK, Goddard or Hodge in the MIDs for this reason!

I think it just gives you a bit more of a chance to minimise donuts as you could swap them and sneak a bench player on or else cop donut or trade?

Worth it??? Thoughts

I feel if you pick a good side from the start based on player selection it shouldn't matter about the mpp.

I always base my side on the best players you can get.  If they can play in other positions thats a bonus.  ;D

I say it might become more of an issue when you run low on trades and come finals time. :o

No matter how good your side is its almost impossible to avoid taking the odd zero here and there during the season. When we face it this year we will all be thinking our multi-position players are GOLD.

If a zero in a round costs our side 100 points, seems to me we will be no worse off by selecting a multi-pos player who averages, over 22 rounds, almost 5 points a round less than a superior single-pos player, if they can prevent one zero in a season. If they prevent more than one, we're in front.

Opens up a whole new world for team selection ...  8)

Tony... The thing about the MPP u gotta understand is that you can only replace guys who are avail in the same two possies. In your example Tippett wouldn't work as you would need to swap him with another forward who can be picked as a ruck also, don't think there are many? Good luck...

Cool9

Good point. Lobbe is one option for a fwd/ruck swap with someone like Tippett. Would be useful to have the option of rotating someone through the ruck

Nice Prospector_1 - I am starting to look at my players I can interchange with. I have no mids that play forward or back to change with so I am really looking at these players listed to see who would fit bets  ::)

tony73

Good one Prospector, I think MPP's will play a big part this year I recon I will only look at the Tippet, Lob play to start with, like others have said you can look to trade in MPP's around rd 6-8 to really benifit in thesecond half of the year, I dont think you will need to look at MID MPP's as the reserves should be solid, I will belooking at the Forward/ Back combos ie Waite, Hurley, Davis, Henderson.

Cazalys Cougars

Tony,

D'OH!!! Good one sorry I missed that. I had Lobbe as my 4th ruck so didn't realise he was avail as a fwd as well.  :-[

MPP certainly adds another dimension to the comp this year! All said and done I will def have to resist the urge to trade and keep some in reserve for finals... have been hammered by injuries the last few yrs and always ran out of trades by finals! MPP sure will come in handy!!

Justin Bieber

the only MPP i am looking at are backs and forwards. mids i have decent back up at the moment and i don't think i have to worry about my rucks.

alot of non MPP worth the same price and have more potential in the mids(400k - 500k)

Never knew brennan was a mid forward.  ;D. thought he was just a forward.

nice list prospector
