Need Help with My Dream Team???

Forwards: Sidebottom, Franklin, Dangerfield, Martain, Waite, Treloar â€" Bench: Dickson T, Hall A 

I thought my team was pretty good however I have lost my last 3 games in a row and all by less than 100 points each game and it’s killing me.  >:( Treloar is going to be my last upgrade to a prem player however due to my scores, (average 2100) I feel my team isn’t as good as I thought?  :-\

Where did I go wrong or which players should I get in?  :P

The guy I play this week scored 100 more than me and I feel a ground hog day coming on again! araaaaaaa

Backs:

Deledio, Goddard, Hargrave, Waters

Great players, all are scoring well, and the last two seem to have paid off for you, as both have been injury prone.

Clarke, Bower, Bugg

I don't like Bowers Job security, but hold him as he's scoring well. Bugg just had an off-game, and can still average 80 through to the byes at least. Clarke is finding a way to rake out the points, hold him too.

Ellis, Mangan

I haven't heard of Mangan, had to search him. Brad Mangan: North Melbourne defender priced at basement level, so he's on the rookie list. I can't see him getting games this season, not yet anyway. I would hold him though as he is not wasting money on your bench either. Ellis is who i'd get rid off first, and this week. BE of too much, JS is good, but wll drop in price. Option 1 is go down to Lee Spurr, who is on the bubble this week, and is of a mature age, so i can see him playing games. His scoring potential isn't flash, but he'll be good bench cover. The other option is go up to Heppell/Shaw , who are the best option to get. And both have a Round 12 bye, so will provide balance too.

Midfield:

Swan, Boyd, Hayes, Ablett

6 Premium midfield! I like it, very strong. Had to split them into two somehow, these 4 are all top of the range premiums, with Hayes being a gun, only concern was that knee which he's not worrying about. Risky but great pick. The other three are obviously guns.

Judd, Priddis

not top of the range premiums, but both can score very big, especially Judd. Priddis's 20ish is a shame, and he'll lose some value, but i'd keep him if named this week. I'm a big Priddis fan, and he will score consistently for you.

McDonald, Horsley

McDonald having another break wasn't great, but with your mids it's fine. He'll play this week and has alot more ash to make, he may even be worth considering as your 7th midfielder for the whole season. Horsley's started great, but everyone has him, should make plenty of money.

Rucks:

Cox

Beast, don't trade unless injured. Will score well, Nic Nat may huirt him a bit, but he's a champion. Worry would be Rd 11, when him and Giles are out.

Giles

Everyone has this guy, 2nd ruck forever, no point trading or benching.

Redden, Stephensen

In the same boat as everyone else. Read the Players And Trades section, there is bound to be a thread made on these two every week. (May have to look through a couple of pages)
Score: 9/10

Forwards:

Sidebottom, Franklin, Dangerfield, Martin

Great choices. I'm dirty i missed out of Sidebottom, and chose the more expensive option in Chapman for the same return. Dangerfield also been a great steal, hopefully he can break/avoid getting a tag. Martin is getting better, and Franklin is just Franklin.

Waite

Unique, has suspension worries constantly. Averages 83 though, so he's not doing too bad. BE of 147 may hurt his price in the next few weeks.

Porplyzia, Treloar, Dickson, Hall

Hall goes first, doesn't look like getting anymore games unfortunately. Dickson is back, should hold his spot for more $$$, and Treloar like you said should be last to upgrade. Porplyzia has been playing well enough to stay in your team for now.

Overall
With only 11 trades and not much money in hand your team is looking a little shaky. I would look at holding off from trading anyone for the next couple of weeks and see where you are placed then. You have a good team and if you believe that you can make the Top8 then don't worry about losing a league match here and there.

You're in a bit of a dangerous position. From my point of view, you should be looking to bring in 3 back premos and 1 fwd premo but since you have so few trades left, you should make sure all your cash cows finishing rising in price before trading them out. I would also recommend that you bring in super premos (Scotland, Robinson, beams, etc.) in order to maximise your scoring potential. Wait a couple of rounds and then use the cash from McDonald and horsley to upgrade treloar. Make sure you keep at least 5 trades for finals unless you desperately need wins to get into the 8.

I try. :) I've done it for one other team, hoping to do one per day/one every 2nd day. I think i need more after going through each player, like "your plan for the next 3-4 weeks should be" sutff.


I'm trying to make up for the amount of un-neccessary posts i've made over my time, and put in some decent ones. :D

As said great write up. The best I have seen since I have been on here and thats over 3 years now! Well done...  ;D

I am sitting in 12th and 3 games behind the leader.I want to make the final 8 and if I don't get some wins up soon I will have to burn trades to get there. Then Like last year I made the final 8 but had no trades so it was an early exit. Which I wish to avoid this year! lol
