bear with me here, as its a long one so keep the tldr's to a minimum please  ;D

so my mids are currently

swan, boyd, ablett, j selwood, shiel, j mac, horse and clay smith

i can afford any mid for shiel. It looks like if i get thompson or stanton then byes will be a problem but i dont want mitchell this year and murphy has some $$ to drop over the next 2 rounds which will make him ideal if i do the below

before RD 9 - shiel to zorko (seems like the only mid downgrade coming up)
before RD 10 - jmac to murphy

so lets say i upgrade other lines this week and wait till round 10 to do the above then i will go into rd 11 with

boyd, swan, j selwood, ablett, murphy, zorko, horse and clay smith - 3 outs for the round and lets say tom mitchell or sexton are downgrade options before rd 11 for clay smith then i will still cop a 0 either week 12 or 13 unless another rd 11 rookie is on the bubble after rd 11 and i trade out the new rookie out having made little $$ in the process (which i loathe to do and there will be other lines to fix)

so in my situation im thinking just get stanton this week for shiel then zorko for jmac next week and cop the 0 in rd 12 as the clay smith train just didnt work out as i hoped (otherwise i would have kept magner). Ive already dropped from top 500, 2 weeks ago, to inside 3700 in the rankings so going for league now as my league leader is 524 points ahead overall  :-\

hope that all made sense

Jormas

1 in rd 11.

Then after rd 11, Greene -> Rockliff.

after rd12, Horse -> Thompson/Jobe/Swan. Compared of BE,

Holz

i can get it down to the min of 2  but im going to take 4 and save 2 trades in the bye periods.  Not taking any mid donuts, but that means im trading selwood to boyd and the horse to stanton or rocky
